Milton James Fernandes, B.A., LL.B., B.C.L. (member, New York and Quebec Bar Associations)

Milton James is an incorporating member of Teachers Without Borders-Canada and has been involved in human rights work throughout his teaching and advocacy career. A former full-time visiting law professor at the National University of Rwanda ('98-'99), he has since served as a sessional lecturer in law at both McGill University and the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). At UQAM, Prof. Fernandes supervises students who seek to hone their writing and oral presentation skills while doing actual human rights work - including taking up complex challenges to advance children's access to education. www.ciddhu.uqam.ca. He remains a passionate student (and instructor) of Aikido, a Japanese martial art.

Mohamed Yamba Bangura (T.C; Dip. in Higher English, BSc Honours, MUD, EMBA and DMan):

Dr. Bangura is an African Educator resident and teaching in the United Kingdom with more than 15 years experience in the education sector. In one of the Poly Technique Colleges in Sierra Leone, he served as a lecturer and Senior lecturer, and then became Course Director in Development Studies for a Distance Learning Provider University in the same country. As a Consultant in Education and Development, he took part in several trainings and workshops (as participant and or facilitator) and contributed largely to promoting Distance Education in the North of Sierra Leone in the post-war period (1999-2005). As he moved to settle in the UK, he joined the London Training Association and the Professional Education without Borders. In the latter he is serving as the African Coordinator for their Distance Education Projects. In his capacity as a member of the Advisory Board of the Teachers without Boarders-Canada, Dr. Bangura is determined to work to benefit both the less-privileged and educationally deprived individuals and groups in developing countries.
